I'll be conducting LMK Apparel Alters, transforming peoples apparel by sewing on my unique ‘puffed label netsukes’ on anything being worn by a willing participant. LMK is my newest artwork, it combines recycling and reinterpreting the vintage designs of my mother, Irene Kasmer, inventor of the Hip Hugger™, and re-investigating my own histories as limited edition digital prints on textiles and art wearables. I am continuing the free
HOMEsite Clothing Exchanges (2009 - on going). A HOMEsite Clothing Exchange is where one barters for a garment or accessory previously traded, tells the story of what they brought and what they are taking, and that interaction is documented and becomes part of the HOMEsite participatory art installation a collaboration which began in 1992 with Joyce Dallal.
